The 16%-lit crescent Moon will occult the Pleiades star cluster after 22:00 as the Moon is setting.

One of our challenges for 2025 is to see the one-day-old Moon – tonight could be our chance. It will appear as the thinnest crescent Moon you've ever seen!

2025 UK Partial Solar Eclipse

Eclipse day! If the sky is clear, this event will be the astronomical highlight of 2025. We'll observe the eclipse from the park using eclipse glasses, pinhole projectors, cameras and telescopes fitted with special solar filters.
