NASA International Observe the Moon Night 2025
International Observe the Moon Night is an annual event to come together with fellow Moon enthusiasts and curious people worldwide.
Everyone on Earth is invited to learn about lunar science and exploration, take part in celestial observations, and honour cultural and personal connections to the Moon.

The Weather
We're hoping for a clear night with a perfect view of the Moon.
The event will not go ahead if it's cloudy or if there's a high chance of rain or strong winds.
A go/no-go decision will be made at 19:00 on the day of the event and posted on this page.

It's very cloudy. The clouds are moving fast so we MIGHT be able to see the Moon.
It's going to be cold and windy – but don't let that put you off coming!

Information for Parents
Children are very welcome to join us for an exciting evening of moongazing.
Most kids are naturally curious about space, and we aim to offer them a fun, educational, and memorable experience. There are just a few things that we ask you to bear in mind:
- Wrap up warm! The air can get chilly very quickly after sunset.
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or responsible adult.
- Young children will need to be closely supervised at all times.
- Recommended minimum age: 6 years old.

- Limited street parking is available nearby.
- Please avoid parking in Beacon Close – the road is narrow, and parking is restricted (double-yellow lines) near the park entrance.
